Its a day in the Indian History, that every Indian should be proud of……. AR Rahman captures two OSCARS, first by an Indian and moreover the first Oscar to India.

ARR has been the buzz for quite sometime after Golden Globe award and also BAFTA Awards.

This a great feather to his Musical endeavour.

AR Rahman has been awarded two Oscars for his exceptional music score in his recent movie Slum Dog Millionare.Three Nominations were made and out of those ARR has been awarded two.

War with my computer

My PC had been running without any issues for the past two years.One fine morning i switched my UPS and powered on my system,the normal BIOS beep was not there.It took almost full two minutes to power on.

Also while booting up,the system restarted abruptly.I was almost mad about this problem, as my PC restarted continuosly even after booting into windows.

I had to make a series of searches in google to know what these symptoms reflected.

In that course, I found a few software,that may help you too…..

Memtest

This is a wonderful software for testing, if your ram has any problems.If your RAM is so worned out and is full of errors, it shows all of them in a couple of minutes.Earlier version of the MEMTEST s/w came only in Bootup floppy mode and CD ISO image.Now its available in USB version too…since some of the PC Motherboards comes with the capability of booting from USB stick.

S.M.A.R.T

This is one of the useful hard drive diagnostic software to check if your hard drive is working properly.This s/w helps you to find out the internal temparature in which your hard drive is operating.Also it monitors the RPM of the hard disk.

After eliminating all the possible culprits, I found out that the original culprit causing all these problems was my PSU(Power Supply Unit) or the SMPS…..

So I changed it and it solved the problem…..and voila..my PC is rocking as before!!!!!!!!!

This may be a time of an historical recession, but there are still various buzzing opportuinities to the youth.Most people complain of recession always failing to see the potential oppotuinities.If you are ready to work, then there are a dearth of opportuinities available.This has been proved by the first Government run BPO in our country.Fostera( Fostering Rural Technology) is the government based BPO, that has been providing opportuinities to the youths in the rural areas. Though the communication level of the people from the rural area is low,Fostera feels that, they can trained easily too, in a few months time.What more, Fostera has also assured that they are in look out of more people to cater their new projects.So its happy to see that,India is putting aside the recession and working in its way to the everest.

As a sensational decision following his take over as the President of America at a very crucial time, Obama might pass the bill resulting in the reduction of the no. of foreign workers that a company can hire.It has been revealed that there might be some downgrading in the number of H1B that may be offered to companies.And the decision to provide the reduced no. of H1B visas has been accompanied with so many stiff conditions.

The H1B is the visa that is offered to foreign personnel to work in the United States.Following in drastic recession ever seen in history, people from various backgrounds have raised the issue towards reducing the no. of visas.The bill is not passed as yet.Lets see how it goes……..

Indians Claim Title at Australian Open

It was the day in the Australian Open that bought laurels to the Indians.In the mixed doubles Indian together claimed the title and it was the 11th grand slam for Mahesh Bhupathi.Another significant point in Winning this title is that,the pair,both of them belonged to India and the female pair was none other than Sania Mirza,the young tennis player who has bought the lime light by her performances.

Serena storms into the final of the Aussie Open

Serena finished in style capturing straight sets to get past Elena Dementeiva to the finals of the Autralian Open.Australian Open 2009 has reached its high point.In a fury encounter between,Serena and Elena Dementeiva,Serena captured the first set.It seemed that Elena may return after claiming the first two games of the Second Set.But Serena was too good and captured the subsequent games to get past Elena in straight by winning 6-3,6-4.

Another encounter is in progress as Zvonareva and Safina gets heads on with each other and the winner is bound to compete with Serena in the Australian Open.

Serena In & Kuznetsova Out……

After a dramatic first set,Kuznetsova was not able to withstand the experience of Serena.In any interesting quarter finals,Kuznetsova headed with Serena stunning her completely by capturing the first set.But Serena was too good for Kuznetsova, by coming back in the second and the third set and proving her mettle.It seemed that Kuznetsova may have a chance in the second set,while Serena was in complete command of the third set capturing it 6-1.Stages are heating up as we are approaching the end of quarters.Lets see how it goes…..

Federer,Roddick Crash into Semis in Aussie Open

Australian Open has reached a stage of high heats.On a very hot summer day in Melbourne, Roger Federer and Andy Roddick defeated Del Potro and Djokovic in men’s singles quarters to get pass into the semis of the Australian Open.Roger achieved his win in a stylish manner against Del Potro in straight sets proving him the champion yet again.

In the match between,Andy Roddick and Djokovic…Djokovic accepted his defeat and agree to withdraw after facing the unbearable heat.Such was the heat in Melbourne the particular day.While Djokovic captured the first set,Roddick came back in style capturing the second and the third set,while Djokovic retired unable to bear the heat after 3 games in the 4th set.
